It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Véronique Ducharme on September 6, 2025.
She deeply marked the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her, with her joie de vivre, her smile, her perseverance, her resilience, her generosity and her ability to brighten even the darkest days.
Véronique is survived by her husband Yves-Paul Kodsi, her beloved children Mélyna and Vincent (Juliette), her sisters Patricia (Luc) and Mélanie, her parents Jeanine and Fernand, as well as her many nieces and nephews, her extended family, her loyal friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her luminous presence.
His departure creates a huge void, but his memory will live on in our hearts, with tenderness and gratitude.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at the Forêt de la Seconde Vie Cemetery.
835 Chemin de l'Achigan Est, Sainte-Sophie, J5J 2P9, September 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. A tribute will be paid at 11:30 a.m., at the same location.
To mark the occasion, a Ginkgo biloba tree will be planted in her honour. A symbol of longevity and resilience, this thousand-year-old tree, often referred to as the "tree of life", will perpetuate Véronique's memory in the heart of the forest.
In this magnificent place, where nature soothes and comforts, his memory will live on through the seasons, in the quiet strength of the trees and the beauty of this timeless landscape.
La Forêt de la seconde vie is an ecoforestry cemetery; an alternative to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.
To date, we are the only site in Quebec with the necessary authorizations for the burial of ashes to have grafted a forest conservation servitude onto our project to ensure the preservation and protection of the forest in perpetuity.
Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by dedicating their second life to the benefit of future generations. The reforestation initiative initiative at Forêt de la seconde vie captures up to 175 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year.
