It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of Mrs. Sylvie Roy on October 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A woman of heart, strong and luminous, she leaves behind a trail of love that nothing will erase.
She is survived by her husband Dany Lafrance, her children Cidjy Latreille, Sabrina Lafrance and Steven Latreille, her sisters Linda Roy and Carole Roy, and her precious grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply.
Sylvie faced her illness with gentleness, courage and dignity, continuing to offer smiles and love to those around her.
In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be rooted at the foot of a serviceberry tree in the Forêt de la Seconde Vie, at a later date.
May this tree become a symbol of the quiet strength, tenderness and light she sowed in our lives.
Her love will continue to grow through us, like the roots of the tree that will carry her forever.

To date, we are the only site in Quebec with the necessary authorizations for the burial of ashes to have grafted a forest conservation servitude onto our project to ensure the preservation and protection of the forest in perpetuity.

Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by dedicating their second life to the benefit of future generations. The reforestation initiative initiative at Forêt de la seconde vie captures up to 175 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year.
