Marie-Anne Risdon's ashes were gently rooted today at La Forêt de la Seconde Vie, in Ste-Sophie. This gesture of respect and serenity symbolizes our attachment to nature and our deep love for it.
With this final return to the land, Marie-Anne rejoins the cycle of life in a peaceful, living place, true to her values. She will continue to be part of the world she cherished so much.
She who loved trees so much will find her roots there, in the heart of a forest where their quiet strength, wisdom and deep roots remind us of what she herself embodied.
His memory will live on in each of the trees that surround him, in the wind that caresses the leaves, and in our hearts forever.

La Forêt de la seconde vie is an ecoforestry cemetery; an alternative to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.
A unique concept in Quebec
To date, we are the only site in Quebec with the necessary authorizations for the burial of ashes to have grafted a forest conservation servitude onto our project to ensure the preservation and protection of the forest in perpetuity.

Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by dedicating their second life to the benefit of future generations. The reforestation initiative initiative at Forêt de la seconde vie captures up to 175 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year.
