Éric Fradet

St-Agathe

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Éric Fradet (1967-2025). He passed away on July 28, surrounded by love and peace.

Éric was surrounded by a large circle of loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his life partner, France Lebel, who supported him to the end, and by his beloved children: Kim (Louis), Laurie (Pierre-Luc) and Vincent (Anabelle). He also touched the lives of France's children: Florence (Jean-Philippe), François (Valérie) and Yannick (Vanessa), as well as their little ones.

He is also survived by his mother, Jocelyne Leclair (André), his sister Nathalie (Daniel), his nieces Lyane, Audrey and Marilyne, the mother of his children, Sophie Tremblay, and his brothers at heart, Guy Lalonde and Éric Robichaud. His departure will weigh heavily on his large tribe of friends, cousins, uncles, aunts, colleagues and in-laws.

In accordance with his wishes, his ashes will be laid to rest under a ginkgo biloba, a tree symbolizing peace and resilience, which will be planted in the Forêt de la Seconde Vie.

We'll be winking at Eric one last time on Saturday, September 20, 2025. We'll mourn his absence, of course, but we'll certainly laugh at his well-placed repartee. We'll welcome you under the big top from 2pm to 5pm. You'll also have the opportunity to take a moment by his tree. It's a convivial day out. So make sure you wear comfortable clothes: Eric wasn't much for conventions... or ties.

Finally, the family would like to acknowledge the exceptional quality of care, both humane and diligent, provided by the palliative care teams at the Piedmont CLSC and the Sainte-Agathe-Des-Monts hospital.

What is Forêt de la seconde vie ?

Take root in your lifetime | Forêt de la seconde Vie

Ecoforest cemetery

La Forêt de la seconde vie is an ecoforestry cemetery; an alternative to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.

A unique concept in Quebec

To date, we are the only site in Quebec with the necessary authorizations for the burial of ashes to have grafted a forest conservation servitude onto our project to ensure the preservation and protection of the forest in perpetuity.

Future generations

Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by dedicating their second life to the benefit of future generations. The reforestation initiative initiative at Forêt de la seconde vie captures up to 175 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year.
