It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Boutin on September 8, 2025.
She is survived by her beloved husband Denis, her daughters Véronique (Frédéric) and Annie (Guillaume), and her eight cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers Pierre (Josée) and Fernand (Louise), as well as many family members, friends and loved ones who will remember her as a generous, combative and devoted woman.
A moment of recollection will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Forêt de la Seconde Vie.
The family will receive you from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the ceremony around 1:00 p.m. and the entombment around 1:30 p.m.
For this occasion, the family has chosen to root an oak tree, a symbol of peace and living memory. This tree will carry within it Diana's presence and grow as a lasting testimony to her love and strength.
The family would like to sincerely thank all those who have shown their support and comfort at this difficult time.
She will remain in our hearts forever.
In Diane's memory, those who wish can show their sympathy by making a donation to the ALS Quebec Foundation, to support research and progress towards a world without ALS.
La Forêt de la seconde vie is an ecoforestry cemetery; an alternative to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.
To date, we are the only site in Quebec with the necessary authorizations for the burial of ashes to have grafted a forest conservation servitude onto our project to ensure the preservation and protection of the forest in perpetuity.
Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by dedicating their second life to the benefit of future generations. The reforestation initiative initiative at Forêt de la seconde vie captures up to 175 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year.
