Lonely and sad-looking, the Weeping Willow is often associated with melancholy and sadness, yet it is a symbol of immortality and rebirth in many cultures. For some, its appearance evokes sensuality and invites contemplation. Meditation and relaxation are practiced at its feet. In many Asian countries, the Weeping Willow is at the center of temples as a symbol of immortality and the tree of life. These titles derive from the fact that when a willow branch is placed in the ground, it will take root and live.

A stocky-looking tree native to Asia, its height varies from 15 to 30 meters and its width from 10 to 20 meters. The diameter of its trunk can easily exceed one meter. Its trunk is generally short and quickly divided into large branches. This is what gives it its distinctive appearance. The weeping willow grows very rapidly, making it fragile in the wind. When mature, its branches reach the ground and constantly sweep the carpet at its feet.

This tree symbolizes nostalgia and contemplation for some, and immortality and rebirth for others.
